How it All Began...

Horseshoe Farm was started in 2016 on a whim. After 12 years of working for the family business, Pete Campbell decided to make a career change.  With a lifelong passion for growing vegetables, raising chickens and with the support of his wife Jill, he started turning their backyard into plots to grow food. Without a plan or much experience they survived their first season, successfully attending a weekly farmers market, selling off the farm and selling to a restaurant here and there! They even grew flowers for Jill, a talented floral designer, to create beautiful bouquets. After the first season, Pete expanded immensely; building green houses, a sugar shack, an apiary, inoculated mushroom logs, and adding a few chicken trailers, while also continuing to raise two amazing children.  The farm is a life long mission and will always be evolving and growing. The Campbell's are excited to bring back agriculture to an area where it used to be a way of life, but has since become scarce. Not many people get an opportunity to grow food in this area, and they are beyond thrilled to be able to share this with friends, family and the surrounding communities!
